Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi's "theatrics" for standing in queue outside a bank to exchange currency notes, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday said the Congress vice-president can only be seen on roads taking selfies with people.

"He is deliberately doing this to rile up people's sentiments. Congress and Rahul Ghandi have never cared about people. All he cares about is taking photos. That is why Rahul Gandhi is often seen on roads clicking selfies," BJP national secretary Shrikant Sharma told ANI.

Earlier today, the Congress vice-president reached the State bank of India at the Parliament Street and stood in line to exchange currency.

"I have come here to withdraw Rs.4000. I will stand in line with the people who are suffering," Rahul Gandhi told reporters here.

He also attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said, "I am not seeing any "Sui-boot" person standing in queue to withdraw cash. I am only seeing people languishing here standing in serpentine queues.
