Continuing his tirade against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Land Acquisition Bill, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday said that his party would take forward the land ordinance fight to every state.

"This fight has not ended. This fight is not limited to the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. The Congress Party will have to take this fight to every state," Rahul said while addressing the farmers at the 'Kisan Mazdoor Samman Rally' at the Ramlila Ground here.

"Modi ji has said in his 'Mann ki Baat' that now we will allow the land ordinance to lapse. But I know Modi ji. He does not say what he thinks. On one hand he said we won't end the bill of the Congress Party and on the other hand he asked his chief ministers to do it at the state-level," he added.

Prime Minister Modi had earlier announced that his government will not re-promulgate the controversial ordinance on Land Acquisition and declared readiness to incorporate any suggestion in the bill on it which is pending in the Rajya Sabha to benefit the farmers.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi, former prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and several other party leaders were present in the rally.
