Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, who is presently on a sabbatical, would be addressing a Kisaan Mazdoor rally in the national capital on April 19.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi would be addressing a massive 'Kisan Rally' at the Ramlila Ground here the next day during which she is expected to target the Centre's contentious Land Acquisition Bill.
"Under the aegis of AICC, Smt. Sonia Gandhi will address the massive Kisan Rally on 20th April at Ramlila Ground and the main issue would be the Land Bill," Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh said last month.
"The primary agenda will be to protest against ordinance for Land Acquisition Bill. The government is trying to bring some changes, but it would have been better if the Prime Minister could have discussed it with other political parties," he added.
In a rare show of strength, a united opposition of 14 political parties, led by the Congress president had earlier on March 17 marched from the Parliament to the Rashtrapati Bhawan to protest against the BJP-led NDA Government's Land Bill.
