Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will have an interaction with workers of his party in Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow today.
The party will launch its election campaign for the 2017 assembly polls with a massive meeting of its workers at the Ramabai Ambedkar Rally Sthal.
Gandhi is also expected to take questions from workers with the aim to collect grass-root level feedback on the party's organisational strengths and weaknesses ahead of the 2017 elections.
As per reports, about 50,000 Congress office-bearers and workers will take part in the interactive session with Gandhi.
However, Gandhi's proposed foot march to hand over a memorandum to Governor Ram Naik over the prevailing situation in Uttar Pradesh has been cancelled due to security concerns.
