Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will visit his parliamentary constituency Amethi on May 18 and 19 after undertaking a 'kisan padyatra' in Telangana.
"After Kisan Padyatra in Telangana on May 14/15, Rahul Gandhi will be visiting Amethi on May 18 and 19, to interact with farmers and INC workers," the Congress party said on twitter.
His 'padyatra' in Telangana had been postponed for May 15 due to the extension of the Lok Sabha session till May 13.
Last month, Rahul undertook a day-long 'kisan padyatra' from Amravati to highlight the farmers' woes.
He travelled about 175 kilometres, including a 15-kilometre walk, through villages of Gunji and Shahapur in Dhamangaon Railway and Rajhna and Tonglabad in Chandur Railway talukas which have seen highest number of suicides this year.
