Taking on Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Friday said the former had not noticed the difference in firing at the border since the BJP came to power due to his 'Italian glasses'.

"Recently, 'Rahul Baba' while addressing rally said, firing at Indo-Pak border still takes place, what's different after BJP came to power. 'Rahul Baba' you won't see the difference as you are wearing Italian glasses, let me tell you what the difference is. Earlier they used to start firing and they used to end it, now they start firing and we end it," Shah said at a rally here.

The BJP chief also hailed the Prime Minister Naredra Modi-led NDA government at the Centre, saying they had created an environment of faith in just eight months and people have started to believe that 21st century is India's century.

Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi had earlier on Thursday criticised the BJP, accusing it of dividing people along sectarian lines for the benefit of corporates and of not fulfilling promises made prior to the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
