Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday held a meeting with senior party leaders to discuss the strategy for the upcoming budget session of Parliament.
Earlier in the day, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan called for an all-party meeting on January 28, a day ahead of the Budget Session.
The first session is scheduled from January 29 to February 9, while the second session will be held from March 5 to April 6, said Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar.
Meanwhile, the Budget will be presented on February 1.
This will be the last full-fledged budget that will be presented by the Narendra Modi-led Union Government before their term ends in 2019.
