Rain continues to annoy the cricketers as well as the fans after the third day was called off after incessant rain in the second and final Test between Bangladesh and South Africa on Saturday.

This was the second successive day when the umpires decided to abandon the play without a ball being bowled.

With the a better weather forecasts for the remaining two days, prospects for play appear brighter, though it might not be sufficient to force a result other than draw.

The hosts were 246-8 on the opening day of the match and since then have been waiting to get on the field.

The first Test in Chittagong had also ended in a tame draw after rain washed out play on the last two days.
