Rajinikanth condoles Cho Ramaswamy's death

Offering his condolences to the family of noted journalist and political analyst Cho Ramasawamy who passed away this morning, Tamil superstar Rajinikanth on Wednesday remembered the eminent personality as a dear friend and a great journalist.

"Cho Ramaswamy never compromised his writings for anybody's sake. My heartfelt condolences to the family members. May his soul rest in peace," he told ANI here.

Ramaswamy's body has been taken to his residence at MRC Nagar where his friends, family and public will pay their last respects to him.

Cho had several laurels in his wreath like an actor, comedian, character actor, editor, film director and lawyer.

 

Besides his plays, some of which were made into successful films, his other writings covered a wide variety of subjects.

He was the editor of 'Thuglak', a Tamil magazine known for its withering satire and fearless criticism of political figures.

Ramaswamy was 82 and is survived by his wife, son and daughter.
