Lauding the Border Security Force (BSF) on its 49th Raising Day, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday said the force gave a befitting reply to Pakistan after the country repeatedly violated ceasefires.
"We Indians are worshippers of non-violence. If anyone dishonours our country in any way, our soldiers always give a befitting reply. Pakistan was repeatedly violating ceasefire still they maintained their calm and patience. But after repeated violations of ceasefire by them, the BSF gave them a befitting reply," said Singh.
The Union Minister further said that the BSF's primary concern was keeping intact the nation's pride and honour.
"The history of the BSF remarkable, and today it enters the golden jubilee year of its foundation day. Our BSF personnel are most concerned about the country's honour and pride. I can say that no country can raise its eye on India due to them," he said.
"I know that you have to deal with a lot of inconvenience everyday and you are not getting what you people deserve. I assure you that I will try my best to address your issues," Singh added.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the BSF saying that their dedication and valour would always inspire the country.
