Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday thoroughly reviewed situation in the Kashmir Valley at a high-level meeting attended by National Security Advisor, Home Secretary, chief of intelligence security agencies and senior officials.
The meeting is also being considered significant in the backdrop of terror attack in France, which claimed at least 84 lives and injured dozens of people.
Meanwhile, curfew remains imposed in eight districts in Kashmir valley.
Normal life across Kashmir is paralysed since last Saturday.
Instructions have been issued to security forces to exercise maximum restraint to avoid further loss of lives or injuries to the people.
