Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh joined the Dussehra celebrations at the Lav Kush Ramlila Committee here on Friday.
The Home Minister was joined by several BJP leaders at the event.
Earlier today, the BJP workers in Patna made an effigy with faces of ten politicians of rival parties and burned it on Dussehra.
The BJP workers believed that by burning the effigy that they called 'political Ravana', they would rid the country of corruption and evil that politics was so entrenched in.
"Today is Dussehra and good won over evil. There are so many corrupt people in the country, so by taking the example of Dussehra, we want to get rid of them. By burning the corrupt politicians, we want to start afresh, ridding our country of evil and corruption," said Shailendra Yadav, a BJP worker.
