Raman Singh elected BJP Legislative Party leader in Chhattisgarh

Dr. Raman Singh has been unanimously chosen as the leader of the BJP Legislative Party in Chhattisgarh.

Singh was elected unanimously by state BJP leaders and cadre in the presence of central observers, including M. Venkaiah Naidu.

After his election, Singh said it would be his endeavour to fulfill all the promises made to the Chhattisgarh public through the BJP manifesto.

It was also announced that he will take the oath as Chief

Minister for a third consecutive term on December 12.

The swearing-in ceremony will take place at the Police Parade Ground in Raipur.

Earlier in the day, Singh submitted his resignation to Chhattisgarh Governor Shekhar Dutt, but was asked to continue in a caretaker capacity till Friday.
