Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Tuesday inaugurated Naya Raipur's first five-star green building, Paryavas Bhawan.
Situated at North Block, Sector 19, the building will jointly house Raipur Development Authority, Chhattisgarh State Housing Board and state environment protection board.
Constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 59.56 crore, the five-storeyed eco-friendly building has 430 rooms and six conference halls in an area of 15,000 square metre. A 220-seater hall is also proposed to be constructed.
As per reports, Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment (GRIHA) has accorded five-star status to this building which has a solar power plant of 200 KW and elaborate arrangement for rain water harvesting.
