Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh on Thursday went to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi to enquire about the health of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, who is in a critical condition and has been put on life support system.
He said, "We are praying for the good health of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He is in a critical condition now and has been put on life support system."
"He had the ability to bring the entire nation together under his leadership. There was something special about him," he added.
According to the latest statement released by AIIMS, Vajpayee's condition remains to stay critical.
Vajpayee's condition had worsened on Wednesday.
The 93-year-old was admitted to AIIMS on June 11 after complaints of urinary tract infection, low urine output and chest congestion.
A number of union ministers, chief ministers and senior leaders including those from opposition parties have been visiting the ailing BJP stalwart since yesterday.
