Ranveer Singh's 'Befikre' has embarked onto a fair start at the box-office as it raked in around 10.36 crore on its opening day, followed by 11.60 cr on Saturday and 12.40 cr on Sunday.
After earning Rs 34.36 crore in the first weekend, Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the working day figures, "#Befikre Fri 10.36 cr, Sat 11.60 cr, Sun 12.47 cr, Mon 5.20 cr, Tue 3.59 cr. Total: ? 43.22 cr. India biz."
Although standalone the collections of film are decent, the numbers are a bit underwhelming considering the names behind the film: Aditya Chopra who has directed few of Bollywood's biggest blockbusters and Ranveer Singh returning to the big screen a year after 'Bajirao Mastani.'
Earlier this year, 'Baaghi', which was Tiger Shroff's second film 'Baaghi' was close to 12 crore, which is around 20 percent higher than Befikre. Being Aditya Chopra's fourth directorial after 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', 'Mohabattein' and 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi', the Ranveer Singh film was carrying a tremendous pre-release buzz, yet it fell short of 'Baaghi'.
'Baaghi' went ahead to earn 38.58 cr on its opening week, while its first Monday figures were 6.72 crores. The film on paper was much weaker in comparison to 'Befikre', yet, the audiences lapped up to it in big numbers thus emerging to be one of the biggest hits of the year in terms of Return on Investment.
