Real Madrid has been left firmly in charge of Group B in the Champions League following a 'blistering' 2-1 win at home to 10-man Italian side Juventus on Tuesday.

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo struck twice in the game, an opening score and a penalty, helping Madrid maintain their 100 percent record in the Champions League.

According to Sport24, Ronaldo's double took his goal tally in Europe's elite club competition to seven in three appearances this season.

Real topped their group with nine points with three games to play, with Galatasaray in second on four points after they thumped bottom-placed FC Copenhagen 3-1 in Istanbul.

Meanwhile, Juventus is placed third with two points and the Italian champions are in danger of failing to make the last 16 with their next game at home to Real looming on November 5, the report added.
