Real Madrid's new coach Rafa Benitez says that it will be 'immensely difficult' for their squad to improve, adding that they still plan to make some new signings in the season close.

The Liverpool great was brought in as replacement for Italian Carlo Ancelotti who was sacked after the world's richest club failed to win any of the three major trophies in 2014-15, Sport24 reported.

Real have already brought back Brazilian Danilo from Porto FC for 31.5 million Euro before Benitez's arrival at the club.

Meanwhile, mid-fielder Casemiro is set to return from a loan spell with the Portuguese side.

The Spaniard said that Danilo and Casemiro, for example, were the players who were going to be important and the club was working every day to try to raise the level of this team with the odd signing that can help us to tackle the challenges ahead of us.

He, however, admitted that improving the current Real Madrid squad was immensely difficult.

The 55-year old added that the team has won everything and has shown the level it has. The fans could be rest assured that the squad would possess the level of competitiveness that was demanded of this club.
