Olympic swimming champion Rebecca Adlington has revealed her fears of having a dip in the sea, explaining that she never did it because of being terrified of monsters of the deep.
According to The Daily Star, the 24-year-old, who won two gold medals at the Beijing Olympics in 2008 and two bronzes at London 2012, expressed that she was scared of open water and of being attacked by sea creatures like sharks.
Rebecca, who retired in February, revealed she would only swim out to sea if she was invisible and sharks couldn't see her, the report said.
The swimmer said that if she was invisible, not even a great white shark could see her.
