Australian stand-up comedian Rebel Wilson has recently revealed that she got down on her knees and begged for the cameo role in the film 'Absolutely Fabulous.'
In an interview, the 35-year-old comedian, who is a huge fan of the BBC comedy, said that she begged creator Jennifer Saunders to consider her for the part after she learnt that a movie version of the iconic comedy was in the works, News.com.au reports.
The 'Pitch Perfect' star also revealed that she went to all lengths to bag the role, saying "I full out got down on my knees and begged. There's no level to which I wouldn't have gone to. She cashed that in about six months later and said, 'We're going to be shooting around November and would love to have you come on for a day and do some funny stuff."
The BBC television sitcom created and written by and starring Jennifer, which also features cameo appearances from Kim Kardashian to British supermodels Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne, is based on a 1990 'French & Saunders' sketch created by Saunders and Dawn French.
