Red Bull has informed Sebastian Vettel to 'raise' his game following a troubled start to the Formula One season.

Red Bull's motorsport adviser Helmut Marko told Vettel after April's Chinese Grand Prix to adapt his driving and stop complaining about the car and the new rules.

According to the BBC, Marko said that he told the four-time world champion that there are 50 engineers working on their car's engine and they cannot sort it out.

Marko further said that he informed Vettel that he is a top driver, it is up to him and he has to do it.

The Austrian said that if Vettel cannot sort out the car, the easiest thing is the driver, adding that he has to raise his game.

Marko also revealed that Red Bull had been considering signing Lewis Hamilton for the 2013 season and said that the team did consider the move, but thought that it would not work.
