The United Nations refugee agency UNHRC has said that the migrant crisis on three Greek islands near Turkey is a "total chaos".
According to the BBC, the UNHCR said that accommodation, water and sanitation are all inadequate for the many asylum seekers on Kos, Chios and Lesbos, calling it "shameful".
Nearly all are refugees from the wars in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, said the UNHRC.
The UNHCR's European Director, Vincent Cochetel said that 1,24,000 people had arrived in Greece this year so far, including 50,000 in the month of July alone.
