The United States has said the religious tensions have eased in Sri Lanka after the new government came to power.
According to the LankaPage, Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom David Saperstein during the release of the 2014 Report on International Religious Freedom said the government has staked a more tolerant view after years of growing religious tension and violence in Sri Lanka.
