Around 377 more Indians arrived in New Delhi in wee hours on Sunday in two air force aircrafts from earthquake-hit Nepal and said they saw death from close quarters.
A rescued Indian national, Ajay, said that he was terrified when he saw the destruction.
"The situation in Nepal was scary, it was really very-very bad. The Indian embassy in Nepal was fantastic, they were there to help. Indian Air Force sent a plane to evacuate us, but let me tell you, it was death at very close quarters," he said.
Meanwhile, arrangements were made in stately house, Karnataka Bhavan, for Indian nationals to take rest.
"We waited for half an hour and Indian Air Force guys helped very nicely and they landed us here safely. I would like to thank our Indian government and as well as Karnataka government because now we have come down here to Karnataka Bhavan to take rest," said another Indian national, Lata Gururaj.
The Indian Government had earlier sent four aircrafts with NDRF teams to oversee rescue and relief operations and also set up a 24-hour control room for queries regarding the tragedy.
The impact of the earthquake was felt in almost all northern states in India particularly in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Sikkim and West Bengal.
