Britain number one Andy Murray bounced back from a set down to defeat seventh seed Tomas Berdych in four sets to reach the final of the Australian Open in Melbourne.
Though the two-time grand slam champion lost the fiercely contested first set by a whisker, he subsequently exhibited a resilient performance to claim a 6-7, 6-0, 6-3, 7-5 victory over Czech opponent Berdych in three hours and 26 minutes.
Reflecting on his performance, Murray said that there was a little bit of extra tension - it was a big match, adding that a lot was made about his former coach Dani Vallverdu and working with Tomas and he felt that the focus was unfair and unnecessary, the BBC reported.
With the win, Murray reached his fourth Australian Open final and will next face either Novak Djokovic or defending champion Stanislas Wawrinka for the title.
