After The New York Times, Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal, Reuters is the latest news website facing a blockade in China. The news agency itself reported that its website was not reachable in the country as of today.

The organization said that it had suffered partial censorship in China in the past, but this time both of its English and Chinese sites are affected, reported Tech Crunch.

A statement released by the agency underlined its commitment to practicing fair and accurate journalism worldwide and hoped that their website will be restored in China soon.

The reason for the blockade is not clear. China's internet censorship organ is known to block news sites and services without warning, but in cases of media, it often follows publication of controversial stories like, political expose.
