Richard Branson has revealed that he won't be taking Hollywood A-listers like Tom Hanks, Angelina Jolie or Ashton Kutcher on Virgin Galactic flight's risky maiden voyage.
The 63-year-old business magnate told The Guardian that NASA has lost about 3 percent of everyone who's gone into space.
For a government-owned company, one can just about get away with losing 3 percent of their clients, but for a private company you can't really lose anybody, Branson asserted.
Branson added that it's a chillingly businesslike concept to declare that a 3 percent death rate is an acceptable margin of error for a government, but not for a private entity.
Branson also revealed that his children will be accompanying him on the first flight.
