Manchester's former two-weight world champion Ricky Hatton was among many who were disappointed with the much hyped 'Fight of the Century' bout between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao held on May 2 in Las Vegas.
The BBC quoted Hatton, as saying that the fight actually damaged the sport of boxing, adding that he could not see anyone saying that he loved the fight.
He said that Manny later on blamed his injury for the defeat and it soured things.
Mayweather had a comfortable one-sided point's victory over the Filipino fighter as the bout watched by millions failed to live up to the hype.
While the American boxer extended his unbeaten run to 48, Hatton who was knocked out by him in 2007 and two years later by Pacquiao, said that the fight could not live up to the expectations, insisting that the bout could not showcase the fight game properly.
Hatton added that Mayweather was not bothered about pleasing the crowd, he was bothered about doing what he does and getting paid.
