'Ride Along' rules box office for 3rd consecutive weekend

Universal's buddy comedy 'Ride Along' has managed to stay at the top of the U.S. box office for the third consecutive week after making a collection of 12.3 million dollars, according to studio estimates.

The second spot was taken by Disney's 'Frozen,' which is now the fourth highest-grossing domestic animated release ever, with $9.3 million, Fox News reported.

Zac Efron, Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller starrer 'That Awkward Moment' took the third place in its opening weekend with 9 million dollars, while Open Road Films' squirrel comedy 'The Nut Job,' bagged the fourth-place slot with 7.6 million dollars.

The top box office earners this weekend are:

4. The Nut Job- 7.6 million dollars

5. Lone Survivor- 7.2 million dollars

8. American Hustle- 4.3 million dollars

9. The Wolf of Wall Street- 3.6 million dollars

10.I, Frankenstein- 3.5 million dollars.
