Activists of Hindu right-wing outfits staged a protest outside Pragati Maidan here on Thursday against a Pakistan lifestyle exhibition named 'Aalishan Pakistan'.

Angry protestors from the Hindu Sena, Rashtrawadi Shiv Sena and Bajrang Dal were seen chanting anti-Pakistan slogans and demanding that the event should be called off.

"We believe that Pakistan is sending terrorists across the border to split our country and, therefore, there should be no effort to bridge the friendship with them. This must be stopped," said Rashtrawadi Shiv Sena leader Jai Bhagwan Goyal.

"It is not 'Alishan Pakistan', it is a 'terrorist Pakistan'. This must be stopped. India's sentiment has been hurt because of this. On one hand they behead our armymen, they continuously betray us....they continuously break talks," added Bajrang Dal leader Neeraj Dongariya.

The police personnel deployed on duty took away the protestors in a bus to make sure that no untoward incident takes place.

The four-day show will continue till September 14 with over 150 exhibitors displaying their products at the event, which is being organised by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
