ANI New Delhi

Indian marathon runner OP Jaisha, who competed at the just-concluded Rio Olympics, has been tested positive for H1N1 virus, also known as swine flu.

The news came two days after fellow runner Sudha Singh, who participated in the women's 3000m steeplechase event in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro, was also diagnosed with the same virus.

Earlier this week, the 33-year-old Jaisha had triggered a national outrage when she alleged that the Indian officials did not arrange for water and energy drinks during the race under blistering heat.

National record holder Jaisha had fainted at the finish line after completing the race in 89th position with a timing of 2:47:19.
