Aditi Ashok, the lone woman golfer at the ongoing Rio Olympics, produced a spectacular performance as she finished tied eighth after two rounds of the women's individual stroke play here at Olympic Golf Course.
The 18-year-old from Bengaluru, who kept switching between 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in Round 2, continued her streak of no bogeys for 27 holes before finally disappointing herself with two bogey, one of which came in the 18th hole.
Aditi's overall performance included 5 birdies, 2 bogies and 3 pars as she finished the day 3-under 68, to finish 36 holes of the Olympic women's individual golf with 6-under 136.
Aditi had earlier became the youngest and first Indian to win the Lalla Aicha Tour School and, therefore, secured her Ladies European Tour card for the 2016 season.
