Rioting case: AAP MLA Tripathi gets bail

A Delhi Court on Friday granted bail to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Akhilesh Tripathi in connection with a 2013 rioting case on a personal bond of Rs.10, 000.

The AAP legislator was arrested yesterday in connection with this case and later sent to judicial custody for two days by a Delhi Court.

In 2013, an FIR was registered against Tripathi, Rahul Kumar, Vikas Mandal, Inder Vikram Singh and Kanhaiya Kumar Jha for alleged offences, including rioting, unlawful assembly and criminal intimidation.
