Rihanna got a traditional Polynesian tattoo on her right hand by artist Inia Taylor, as a permanent souvenir from New Zealand.

The traditional design is inked by a traditional technique, which uses mallet, chisel and ink pigment, Radar Online reported.

According to 3News.co.nz, the tribal design contains symbols and elaborate line runs from the 25-year-old singer's fingernails to her right forearm.

Fellow Kiwi musician Ahoribuzz filmed the entire tattooing ssession and uploaded it to Taane's YouTube channel.

In the video, the 'Umberela' hitmaker can be seen using her left hand to cover her mouth, attempting to laugh through the pain.

At an instance, she is even asked to wipe the blood from her hand so that the tattooists can continue with the design.
