The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) marched towards Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi's residence to stage protest over the sudden change in time of the oath-taking ceremony of Nitish Kumar as Bihar Chief Minister.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav took to Twitter to intimate about the same and questioned the change in the timing from 5 p.m. to 10 a.m.

He said that the time for swearing-in changed after the information of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) meeting the Governor at 11 a.m. came out.

Tejashwi also claimed that they have the support of more than half of Janata Dal (United) MLAs, which is making Nitish rush to the Governor residence in midnight itself.

Meanwhile, the RJD also slammed Governor Keshari Nath Tripathi for moulding his decision regarding time of the oath-taking ceremony.

"A Governor should act as custodian of constitution, not as Centre's stooge. He can't ignore single largest party & largest prepoll alliance," The RJD Twitter account posted.

Parallely, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and JD(U) MLAs met the Governor in the wee hours of Wednesday night and confirmed that the oath-taking ceremony will take place at 10 a.m.

Meanwhile, the party also confirmed that Sushil Modi will be swearing-in as the Bihar Deputy Chief Minister.

However, RJD is claiming that it has support of more than half of the JD(U) MLAs and they have every right to stake claim to form government, as their party is the single largest party.
