Robert Pattinson to be honoured at Karlovy Vary festival

British actor Robert Pattinson is all set to be conferred with the President's (Czech Republic) Award at the 53rd edition of the Karlovy Vary film festival.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 'Twilight' star will be in the Czech spa town from which the festival derives its name, and will receive the prestigious President's award at the closing-night gala of the film festival.

The prestigious award is given to "outstanding personalities of world cinema".

Pattinson is famous for his major roles in the 'Twilight' franchise and 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire'.

On the work front, he will next be seen in a comedy film 'Damsel' where he is portraying the role of Samuel Alabaster, a wealthy businessman who crosses the American West in 1870 to marry his love but finds treachery when the lines between hero, villain and the damsel are blurred.

 

The 53rd edition of the Karlovy Vary Film Festival will be held from June 29 to July 7.
