A man in Jackson, Mississippi has taken up the task of filling about a hundred ruts in local streets after he stole asphalt from the city's supplies.

According to the New York Daily News, Ron Chane, who is being hailed as the 'Robin Hood of potholes,' has sprayed paint to circle each repair that he filled and wrote 'Citizen Fixed' on the cement.

A city resident said that people in the town joked that Jackson was a Six Flags because the roads were very bumpy, adding that potholes were widespread in all parts of the city, and the cracks were crumbling.

Chane said that they were sending a message that as citizens, matters sometimes needed to be taken in your own hands, in a creative and constructive way.
