Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is reportedly eyeing Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole as the star looks set to be available on a free transfer this summer.
Cole has reportedly been marginalized by boss Jose Mourinho, who has preffered to play right-back Cesar Azpilicueta out of position instead, and his future at Stamford Bridge is looking increasingly doubtful.
According to the Daily Star, Rodgers is a big fan of the left-back Cole, who knows him from his time at Chelsea, where Rodgers worked as youth team coach and reserve manager prior to his Watford move in 2008.
The England and Chelsea star is also interested in the move to Anfield and his transfer would be a boost to Rodger's exciting title-chasing squad, the report added.
