Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has praised Manchester City on winning the Premier League title and has reportedly vowed that his club will come back stronger next season as they failed to end their 24 year English title drought.

Rodgers, who watched as his squad fought back from a goal against Newcastle United to win the match 2-1 and finish as runners up, said that he congratulates City because after 38 games if one is on top of the league and they win the title then they deserve it.

Liverpool's hopes of winning the Premier League title were shattered after City defeated West Ham United 2-0 and Rodgers said that his squad would strengthen in the summer and their key word is belief, the Mirror reported.

The Northern Irishman said that Liverpool, who has secured a return to the Champions League for the first time since 2009, needed to develop a culture and environment to allow the players to perform and be better.

Rodgers added that in the last couple of seasons that culture has spread and Liverpool has started winning on a consistent basis.
