Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has revealed that his squad's chance of bagging their first English championship in 24 years is over in light of their 3-3 draw at Crystal Palace.
Rodgers also said that there is no doubt that Manchester City would go on and win the Premier League title.
According to the BBC, Liverpool has one match left and currently top the table by a point from Manchester City, but Manuel Pellegrini's side have a game in hand and a superior goal difference.
Rodgers said that Liverpool needed to win their recent clash in order to keep the pressure before going into the last game and they did not do that.
Liverpool would have moved three points adrift of City had they won the clash 3-0, as well as gotten plus six on goal difference against Pellegrini's side.

However, the game ended in a 3-3 draw squandering their title hopes, and Rodgers said that it is hugely disappointing, adding that they had been outstanding for 78 minutes, getting three goals and looking like they could get a few more.
Rodgers added that allowing Palace to score three goals at the end had been hugely disappointing, as they had said at half-time that it is most important thing for them to win that game.
Rodgers said that they did not manage the game at 3-0, giving Palace a little sniff, but added that their rivals have some good players who can punish one and it is something that Liverpool would improve upon next season.
Liverpool might win the title if City win one and draw one of their last two games with Rodgers' squad beating Newcastle United with a vast goal difference, or if Pellegrini's squad draws both games, which would ensure the Northern Irishman squad's title win, the report added.
