Former NBA star Dennis Rodman has said that he will coach the North Korean basketball team for the Olympics.

According to Sky News, Rodman, who has revealed that the country's leader Kim Jong-Un has a baby daughter named Ju-ae, also said that he will go to the country in December this year to select local players for the games.

Stating that he hopes to have ex-NBA stars such as former Chicago Bulls teammate Scottie Pippen and Karl Malone take part, Rodman also said that Kim asked him to train his players to compete in the 2016 Olympics and offered to allow the basketball great to write a book about him.

Calling the North Korean leader a 'friend for life', Rodman claimed that he had a relaxing time with Kim and his family during his five-day visit to the reclusive nation, adding that they discussed their plans to play a historic friendship basketball game between North Korea and the US.

Meanwhile, the report said that Kim's wife, Ri Sol, had appeared to be pregnant in pictures issued last year by a state-run news agency, adding that Ri Sol then disappeared from public view, returning in October.
