Chelsea is plotting to make a stunning bid for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and have reportedly set aside a staggering 60 million pounds for the Portuguese International.
Ronaldo has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bernabeu in recent weeks, and reports have suggested that the former Manchester United star has fallen out with Real boss Carlo Ancelotti. That news has prompted United to prepare a 55 million pounds bid for the former fan favourite, who scored 118 goals in 292 appearances for the club.
But that news has also alerted Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who is willing to trump United's bid for the current Ballon d'Or holder, The Daily Star reported.
It's unknown whether or not Ronaldo would be open to a move to Stamford Bridge due to his allegiance to United, as the Portugal captain has claimed on several occasions that he loves his former club, and has expressed his desire to return to Old Trafford one day.
Ronaldo said that he loves United, adding that everyone knows that, as he has said it many time before. He said that United is in his heart and that he left many good friends there, and added that the supporters are amazing and he wishes he can come back one day.
