Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo believes that his side were the rightful winners in last evening's Champions League semifinal clash against Manchester City.
Real reached their 14th European Cup final after completing a 1-0 aggregate win over City at the Bernabeu. Gareth Bale's deflected shot in the 20th minute was enough for the Spanish giants to set up a repeat of 2014 final against Atletico Madrid that Real won 4-1 in extra time.
Commenting on how the match unfolded, a delighted Ronaldo said that his side controlled the game and created more opportunities while keeping in mind City's ability to bounce back, the Guardian reported.
The Portuguese international admitted that he has fully recovered from his injury but added that he got weary after playing the full 90 minutes.
Real are also just one point behind the joint leaders Barcelona and Atletico in the La Liga with two games remaining in the season.
