Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been crowned BBC's Oversees Sports Personality 2014 award as he upstaged tennis player Serena Williams, boxer Floyd Mayweather and MotoGP rider Marc Marquez to claim the coveted prize.
An elated Ronaldo, who has scored 281 goals for Real, thanked BBC and his old fans in England for choosing him for the award, the BBC reported.
Ronaldo netted 51 goals in the 2013-14 season, with also helping Real Madrid to win the Champions League.
Earlier in the year, Portuguese international was also named world player of the year.
