Rosamund Pike just dreads the red carpet events because she feels it can rip people to a "bloody pulp".

The 36-year-old 'Gone Girl' star, who's running for the Best Actress award at the upcoming Oscars, certainly won't be looking to arriving for such a prestigious ceremony due to her fear and said that she looked it as "that time in Africa when you see a whole crowd of zebras crossing crocodile-infested waters. Most of them make it. A few of them are ripped to bloody pulp," Stuff.co.nz reported.

The beauty, who's been one of the frontrunners in the fashion world this awards season, admitted that she would rather be in a casual ensemble on such events, but that day was yet to come.

Pike also said that the reviews from fashion critics don't bother her, since it was just part of her job as an actress, ad she was "clothes horse by profession.
