Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg has said that he must stop his teammate Lewis Hamilton's successive run of victories at this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix.
Rosberg said that every weekend is of vital importance but the results momentum is on the side of Hamilton, who has won all three races since retiring fro the season-opener in Australia, and the German added that he needs to try to turn it around.
According to the BBC, Rosberg said that he has come to Montreal to win, and to try to extend the lead in the Formula One championship, which the racer got after finishing the season-opening Grand Prix in Melbourne in the first place.
Hamilton is just four points adrift of his teammate in the drivers' standings and the Mercedes car has reportedly got such a performance advantage that the racing duo is effectively competing for wins only with each other at every race.
Rosberg said that he needs a normal weekend and then he is sure that he will be able to turn things around, as Hamilton has beaten the German to the pole in three of the four races so far this season, each time when there had been a wet qualifying session.
Meanwhile, the Mercedes duo said that they expect the nature of Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya to provide them with a tougher challenge from their rivals Red Bulls than has been the case.
