Justice (retired) Mukul Mudgal on Friday said that the Rajasthan Royal player, who informed the Board of Control for Cricket in India about being approached to fix a match, had done the correct thing, calling for the cricket body to take swift action in light of the incident.

"There is a report that one Ranji player approached an IPL player and offered him cash for spot fixing. I understand that the player has communicated this to the anti-corruption unit of the BCCI. I think this player has done the correct thing, and now it is up to the anti-corruption unit to investigate and take action," Justice Mudgal told ANI

Meanwhile, the BCCI has confirmed that no action would be taken against the Rajasthan Royals player as he approached the necessary officials without any delay.

During the 2013 season of the IPL, three players from Rajasthan Royals - S Sreesanth, Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila - were found guilty of spot-fixing. Sreesanth and Chavan were subsequently handed life bans by the BCCI.
