In favor of a children's charity called Life For a Kid, 77 English rugby player's wives and girlfriends (WAGs) are getting together to mount Ben Nevis next month.

The WAGs, partners of Super League players, include TV action girl Helen Skelton, fiancee of Warrington and England star Richie Myler, and Hannah Farrimond, partner of Widnes star Cameron Phelps, Daily Star reports.

Although some of the women have admitted being nervous as their training schedules are not on track, Farrimond insisted that they will all complete the 4,409ft climb with each other's support despite the nervousness and loose training schedules.

Stating that the cause will energize all of them to push each other up, Farrimond also said that the charity is worth all the hard work and training as the money raised will help children.

All the money from the climb, of which the women have raised around 9,000 pounds towards their target of 15,000 pounds on July 20, will go towards the charity, the report added.
