Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov has said that Moscow is not going to veto the UN Security Council's resolution on North Korea which is scheduled to take place on Friday.

"We are not going to do that. We believe that this (resolution) will be passed. There were discussions and many our concerns were taken into account. Some moments have been left, which we try to coordinate with partners now," Tass news agency quoted Gatilov as saying at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

He hoped that the resolution will get passed.

North Korea had test fired the country's ninth new missile on Monday.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un had supervised the launch of Pukgukson-2 middle range ballistic missile.

Condemning the missile test, the United Nations Security Council said that the current sanctions against North Korea could be expanded in future.
