Russian Ambassador to India Alexander Kadakin passed away on Thursday.
Kadakin, 67, died this morning of heart failure.
He served as the Minister Counselor of Russia to India between 1989 and 1992, but his first term as Russian ambassador to India was between 1999 and 2004.
Kadakin took over as the ambassador to India for a second time in 2009.
